The Case
Literature specialist of the Silver Age Professor David Guramovich accuses the mayor of a provincial town of stealing a large sum, but he himself becomes a defendant in the embezzlement case and is sent under house arrest. Everyone around advises him to go to peace as soon as possible, but David stubbornly decides to go to the end. He enters into a struggle for his ideals, his name, and sometimes for existence.
